#GIRLBOSS

I'll be the first to admit, I very rarely read a book from start to finish. It's a bad habit that I need to fix, but I get distracted easily and end up setting books aside, forgetting what page I'm on, and never coming back to it. I have good intentions, but I find myself bored halfway through. Maybe I'm just reading the wrong books?

After picking up #GIRLBOSS by Nasty Gal CEO Sophia Amoruso, I haven't been able to put it down. I'm literally a girl obsessed. In one sitting, I read straight through three chapters...and that number might have been five had I not written this post.

Even with the tired rags-to-riches American Dream story it presents, Amoruso spells out her journey to success with a little extra sass along the way. She turned her eBay vintage sales into a popular online store, and I'm sold. I think I may even finish it (no promises). I'll be sure to do a better book review about it if so.

In any case, it's already inspired me to continue chasing my dreams despite the current state of the union. Post-grad or not, this book is one to check out.

Have you picked up any good reads lately?

  1. Ive been looking for a good summer beach read so I will definitely be picking this one up. I bought "The Fault in Our Stars" thinking it would last me until the Fourth of July beach trip but I finished it in just 24 hours haha! If you haven't read it, I recommend it!

  2. I'm a big time reader. I just went to a giant Half Price Books clearance sale at a convention center and I bought so many books. I just finished Divergent series and now I'm reading Prodigal Summer... I just started it but it has great reviews!
