As 2015 comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment and reflect on this year. It's been a whirlwind from start to finish, but I couldn't feel any more blessed from it. God has truly shown me the rewards that come from working hard, waiting on him quietly and trusting that he has a plan.

After I graduated college in 2014, I moved back home. I immediately felt like a failure. I looked around at people walking into their dream jobs the moment they received their diploma, and here I was, back in my old room, applying for countless jobs I never heard back from. I was doing everything I could, yet nothing was happening. I was frustrated that after all these years of working hard in school and even graduating early, I couldn't even land a job. I felt my "overachiever" status slipping.

It wasn't until this past August that I found something. I snagged my first "big girl" full time job, packed my things, moved to a tiny apartment and started the next chapter of my life. Even though I felt like I was ready to do all of this after graduation, God showed me that his timing is perfect. It's everything. Trusting in him was extremely difficult for me for that year and a half, that I felt like I was in this weird "in-between" phase where my life wasn't going anywhere, but it was worth it. Once I let go of the plan I had for me, that Instagram-worthy life I had pictured, and let God do his thing, he did, and it's even bigger and better than anything I ever thought of.

2015 was a year of change for me. I struggle with change. I tend to like the familiar and cling to what I know. God showed me that change is always for the better when it is through his plan. It's funny to look back now and think that I was in a completely different situation just a few months ago!

It hasn't been a cake walk, but I will say that God has shown me that faith in him will do wonders. It's easy to feel like everything is just now falling into place, but ultimately, I know it's because God ordained it to be so! I have no doubt he'll bring more of his goodness in 2016 too.

Jeremiah 29:11 "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future'"

Cheers to a great 2015 and an even better 2016!! Xoxo

SheIn plaid shirt (c/o) // J.Crew skinnies // Tory Burch flats

Murphy and I packed our bags and headed home for Christmas to spend some time with the fam! It's going to be the best Christmas yet because I already have so much to be thankful for. What a year it's been! My dad beat cancer, my sister is KILLIN' it at UF, and my mom has just been a wonder woman making sure we're all taken care of (and STILL answers the phone when I call to vent). And, of course, I moved out, got my first "big girl" job and have already been promoted to my #dreamjob. Jesus has definitely blessed us this year!!

It hasn't been easy, but I couldn't be more grateful of where I'm at in my life. Jesus has helped me so much in figuring out the next chapter, and I can definitely say that he's helped me grow as a person in this journey as well.

This Christmas, I've been trying not to get caught up in the stress of the holiday traffic and "busyness" and focus on one thing - Him! He's the reason for the season, and my family and I couldn't be more thankful that he's been with us this year. He deserves all the praise!

Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"

Merry Christmas to you & yours!! Xoxo

Anthro Beauty products c/o ShopStyle Collective and Anthropologie
Tocca Eau de Parfum in Stella // Albeit Cheek Stick in Nectar
Mirabeau Bar Soap in Poppy

After the stress that comes with the holidays, it's nice to take a break and pamper with a few new beauty products! I'm always hesitant to branch out when it comes to all things in the beauty department, but wow. I can't get enough of these Anthropologie finds!

My personal favorite has to be the Tocca fragrance in Stella. The mini bottle is perfect to throw in my bag when I head back home for Christmas, and it smells sooo good!

I've shared some more of my #AnthroBeauty favorites below that make perfect last-minute gifts and stocking stuffers! Merry Christmas, y'all!

Marley Lilly monogrammed tunic sweatshirt (c/o)
Krass & Co. RunRunner pants (c/o) // similar Tory Burch riding boots

I've been running around doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, and this outfit is just perfect for the job! Not only is this sweatshirt super comfy and in my favorite color, it's also monogrammed...because everything is better with a monogram, right?? I paired it with my favorite Krass & Co. RunRunner pants (seriously, I live in these things!!) and riding boots. Voila! Instant Santa's-preppy-helper look ;)

P.S. Thanks y'all for all the wonderful birthday wishes!! It was my best birthday yet! :)

All For Color printed pants (c/o) // Lilly Pulitzer sweater
Jack Rogers monogrammed sandals // Kendra Scott necklace // similar Kate Spade watch

The struggle of dressing for in-between weather is so. real. It's chilly in the mornings, but by the afternoon, it's right back up to 80 degrees! This outfit is perfect for those tricky situations. Breezy printed pants and a sweater keep me warm in the office, but I don't die from heat exhaustion when I step out for lunch. Solving the world's problems one outfit at a time, no big deal.

Love these pants as much as I do? Snag 'em at All For Color for 20% off with code "AFCSTYLE20"

It's officially the most wonderful time of the year...and also only a few short days until my birthday. Craziness! I'm actually real excited about this one because 23 has been my lucky number since I played volleyball in 7th grade (lol @ me playing sports) and randomly got stuck with the 23 jersey. Worked out for me, though, because ever since then, good things happen to me whenever that number is involved. Cool stuff. So maybe, this will be a good year for me too? Idk. Tbd.

Since Christmas is like, 21 days away, I threw together a little gift guide for ya of my favorite non-basic picks, because truly I'm offended at the number of basic gifts floating around on Pinterest right now. Fuzzy socks? Groundbreaking. (but tbh I really love those things)
Faux fur pom pom clip // Kate Spade glitter stud earrings
"Be happy, be bright, be you" canvas // Flamingo iPhone 6/6s case
ban.do floral charging kit // essie polish // Voluspa candle // S'well water bottle
Kate Spade mini Maise bag // Disney x Vans Alice In Wonderland slip-ons

I'm a big fan when things match and when they're my favorite colors...so, clearly, I had to pick everything pink, mint and gold! These gifts would be perfect for your girl squad, but I won't judge if you add them to your personal wishlist (they're on my list too...oops).

What's on your wishlist this year??
