This week has been an adventure to say the least. From all the rain (and the traffic) and my first visit to the PGA show...this week certainly had its highs and lows. I can't complain. Not every day is going to be sunny!

However, I can choose to keep my attitude sunny + bright, even when it's difficult. Choosing to look on the bright side not only puts me in a good mood, it also keeps me focused on what's truly important. Getting caught up in the little things just wastes time and energy that could be spent doing something fun!

We all know that Disney is my happy place, but I can't always run over to Cinderella's Castle whenever I have a bad day. Instead, I remember my favorite movie Tangled and embrace Rapunzel's outlook on life. I relate to her now more than ever - my life is finally beginning - and I definitely had my moments of uncertainty starting out on my own and "leaving my tower" at home. However, that doesn't mean I should run back to my safe place when life gets hard.

I need to remember to be thankful for those challenging moments, because if things were always easy, that would get boring. If it was always sunny, I wouldn't appreciate the good days as much. Bad days have a way of making me see all my blessings. And, the best part, bad days don't last forever!

So, if you're having an off-week, a bad day, or just need a break from it all, take a deep breath, get some rest, and enjoy what you can. Life is way too short to sweat the small stuff, trust me!

One of my favorite parts of any Disney trip is the food! I mean, I love food in general, so combined with my affinity for things shaped like Mickey Mouse, and I'm sold.

For those of you new to the Disney foodie world, I'm here to help. I've compiled my list of favorite treats from across the Walt Disney World parks and resorts, even though it was incredibly challenging to narrow them down to just a few! Pro tip: bookmark this post for reference when planning your next Disney trip. It'll come in handy, I promise.

Mickey Pretzels

Meet my go-to snack at the parks: Mickey pretzels! It's a classic and perfect for when you're on the go from one Fastpass to the next. Some people might argue that Mickey Bars are where it's at, but I'm a messy eater in general and don't like when chocolate gets on my face, and I've always been more about the salt(y) life anyways! Find them at any of the Disney World parks.

Dole Whips

Dole Whips are life. I'm not exaggerating. These pineapple soft-serve treats are major keys to success on a hot summer day at Magic Kingdom. You can find them at Aloha Isle's new location in Adventureland, right next to the Enchanted Tiki Room. They're also available at the Polynesian Resort. 5/5 stars.

Macarons

Ah, yes. The colorful little French pastries that are so cute and yummy and look great in an Instagram. Macarons are somewhat new to the parks and a little harder to locate, but oh boy, are they worth it. I recommend hitting up Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie at the France Pavillion in Epcot for an assorted pack (top photo), or most of the bakeries in the parks and resorts for a special Mickey macaron (bottom photo).

Starbucks

Okay, so not really food, but it is still important because coffee. Starbucks is now at Disney World, and it's a game changer. No longer do you need to go back to your hotel and nap halfway through the day. Now, just hop over to Starbucks for an extra shot of magic, and you'll be good until the fireworks! Plus, the Disney Parks printed cups are just too cute.

Mickey Waffles

Last but certainly not least, Mickey waffles! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Mickey waffles make it the best. Fact.

Sending all the sunshine your way! It was PERFECT Saturday - sunny and 75 - so my bestie Sarah and I hopped over to Disney to enjoy it. We spent the afternoon at the Grand Floridian and had a tea time (golf pun, sorry) at the Garden View Tea Room there. It was a grand time :)

Also, it gave me a chance to break out my new favorite Lilly - the Molly Haynes dress in Dahlia Purple Party Girl! Clearly, this dress was already a win in my book; I mean, with a print called "Party Girl," I can't help but be obsessed. I've been super into swing dresses lately, and this one will for sure be worn on repeat once it warms up again (hopefully soon...I'm strugglin' with these cold temps!).

At any rate, it was so nice to take a break from being super busy with my new role at work and catch up with one of my favorites, and even better that it was a three day weekend. I couldn't think of a better way to spend it!

Make It Sunny

There's no better time than the new year to start a new page. 2015 was a year of change for me. New location, new occupation, and new style. I think all the change has detached me from my blog a little, and I'm hoping to fix that this year.

Once I moved forward with the next chapter of my life, I put my blog on a slight hiatus. During the break, I stepped back, refocused and got a new perspective. Jumping back into my blog seemed near impossible - I no longer had the same amount of free time to dedicate to posts, nor did I have the resources available to make my posts look and feel how I wanted them to. I have a full-time job and full-time responsibilities.

Blogging about my outfits was the last thing I wanted to do with my free time...not to mention, I felt incredibly restricted in what I could post. I created this image in my head of what I should be posting about, what I should be wearing, or buying. Whatever it was, I wasn't doing enough in my mind compared to the rest of the bloggers I followed.

For that reason, I've decided to take Lucky Day in a different direction. What inspires me now is so much more than what I choose to wear every day. I'm inspired by my experiences, my life, my goals and my dreams. I want to share that with YOU and get away from that shallow, consumeristic style so many bloggers have fallen victim of. Don't get me wrong, I love clothes just as much, but I no longer want it to be my focus.

I want Lucky Day to be a space that is essentially an extension of me. I've grown a lot over the past six months, and I want Lucky Day to grow with me and reflect me as a person, as a single 23 year old with hopes and dreams and plans to change the world...one day!

So, I want to thank you for sticking with me. I want to let you know how much I appreciate you following along over the change and being so supportive of my endeavors, whatever those may be.

2016 is a blank canvas....and I can't wait to color it.
