fall

summer
Dressing for fall in Florida can be tricky. With the endless sweaters and scarves popping up in stores, all I can think about is iced coffee and shorts still. Summer is nowhere near over down here, but since I like to stay on-trend with the seasons, I tend to switch up my wardrobe just a little bit to give a more fall-appropriate vibe.
I always go for pieces that have more fall colors (wine, mustard, taupes, olive greens...) over textures. I like to mix flowy tops like the one I'm wearing here with shorts and boho accessories, or even denim with t-shirts and tanks in the evenings. Again, the trick is playing with colors and prints, and steering clear of anything that suggests layering. I'll definitely be sharing more ways to style fall looks for Florida soon!
In other news, I'm officially all moved-in to my new place! I'm so excited for the change of scenery and a much needed fresh start. And, of course, I can't wait to do a little redecorating, too. I'll share another apartment tour once it's all done, so stay tuned!

One of my favorite movies growing up was The Pink Panther, so when I saw these shorts at Zara recently, I knew I needed them! I think we've established that pink is my signature color (yellow a close second...), so this monochromatic look was so fun to style!
I'm wearing... top (c/o Balderdash) • shorts • similar bag (mine is Kate Spade from a few years ago) • similar sandals • similar hat (mine is c/o Saks Off Fifth) • sunglasses
I have this thing with pink...

I'm adding a little bit of pixie dust to this Monday with this Tinker Bell backpack from Danielle Nicole! I was so excited when they sent me this backpack. Tinker Bell has always been one of my favorite classic Disney characters because of her wit and sass. Plus, she's just so cute!
This backpack is the perfect size to use as an everyday bag and at the parks, and it also converts into a purse. I styled it with a girly gingham dress and suede sandals for a fun, whimsical summer look.

apartment
outfits
summer
I'm just going to pretend that this is what my apartment still looks like at the moment and not the disaster of cardboard boxes and random picture frames all over the floor in the midst of my move. It's fine.
I've been in this apartment for two years, and boy, have I come a long way since then! Never would I have imagined my life would be where it is now (in a good way). And, if I'm being sentimental, this place really helped shape me as a person, too.
This tiny apartment represents so much more to my life than just my first apartment. It represents my goals in a way, my dedication to living out my dreams that I've worked so hard for. Growing up, I always dreamed about living the life I am living right now, so it's definitely rewarding to be able to call this place home.
While I'm not making a huge move, it's still a little bittersweet to think back of all the sweet mems I had here. There have been so many wonderful moments... but also some not so great ones. It's hard being a 20-something trying to figure it all out, but also incredibly magical.
I know I'm very lucky and very blessed, and I know God has so much more in store for my life. I can't wait to share the next adventures with you, and as always, thanks for following along on my journey!
