One of my favorite things to collect is mouse ears from Walt Disney World! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that a good majority of my posts involve me wearing a pair of Minnie Mouse ears to complete my park outfits. They're such a fun accessory! And, in recent years, there have been so many cute styles to choose from at the parks, so naturally, my collection has grown quite a bit.
I love collecting unique pairs of ears, but it can get pretty messy when storing them. Enter: this headband display from Amazon.

SHOP IT HERE
This thing has been so handy in storing my most-loved pairs of ears! It fits about 8-10 pairs depending on their size - I have a few thicker mouse ears with large bows that take up a little bit more room - but I'm so impressed with it!
The display is meant for headbands, so if you're more into that, it works great for those too. Personally, I think it's a cute way to not only organize them but also display them in your room, on a shelf or in your closet.
Previously, I stored them in a bin, but I found they got squished or bent pretty easily, especially my more delicate pairs. I still have a few seasonal ears I store that way that wouldn't fit on the display, but worst case scenario I'll just order another! :)

Waldorf Astoria Orlando recently hosted me on a media stay. They provided accommodations and other amenities during our stay. While the visit was sponsored, thoughts and opinions on my experience shared below are my own.
There's nothing quite like waking up near the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort, and Waldorf Astoria Orlando offers just that. This luxury hotel is tucked away on Disney property and adjacent to its sister property Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, which we visited last year. Guests have access to both hotels and their amenities during their stay.
And, for a limited time, guests can enjoy Extra Magic Hours at the parks through the end of the year along with a 60-day FastPass+ booking window, as the hotel is recognized as an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel through December 2020.
While we didn't utilize the Extra Magic Hours (I am not an early riser, particularly not on vacation...lol), we did enjoy transportation from the parks back to the resort. We visited Hollywood Studios during our stay, and it was just a short bus ride back to the hotel after watching the fireworks.
There are so many things to do on-site, though, we barely left the hotel. We started off the weekend with a round of golf at Waldorf Astoria Golf Club. We played here last visit, and it was just as challenging but so fun!
There are no shortage of dining options at Waldorf Astoria Orlando. We started each morning at Oscar's for breakfast (seriously, their eggs are my favorite!). We also visited La Luce again after dining here last year. I had the pork chop, and it was incredible, but the best part of the meal was definitely the butterscotch pudding for dessert. I'm craving it as I'm typing this right now!
We also spent a day in a poolside cabana, which I highly recommend. It's such a nice, quiet space to relax by the pool, complete with a TV and mini fridge. I didn't want to leave!
My favorite part of the stay was the Royal Tea at Peacock Alley. Offered on Sunday afternoons, this experience offers guests a delightful way to relax in an elegant setting.
Overall, there's no better way to enjoy the magic than at Waldorf Astoria Orlando. From waking up to views of the parks to watching the fireworks at night, you really get the best of the Walt Disney World Resort combined with relaxing, luxurious elements of Waldorf Astoria.
Thanks again to Waldorf Astoria Orlando for hosting us!

Disney recently invited me to experience Minnie's Garden Party, a limited time special event happening now through May 6, 2019 at Epcot. Disney provided me and a guest with complimentary park tickets, meals, and an overnight stay at a Disney resort, along with gifted goodies. Thoughts and opinions on the event are my own.
Fun is in full bloom at Minnie's Garden Party! Minnie Mouse recently invited me to experience her Garden Party happening now through May 6 at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. I had the best time making flower crowns, brunching and hanging with Minnie herself!
This special event can be found in the Odyssey at Epcot, located just behind the Mexico Pavilion in the World Showcase. Here, you'll find a bundle of springtime fun including flowery photo ops, exclusive merchandise, treats and more. You can even meet Minnie from 11am - 4pm in her brand new dress... and let me tell you, she looks fab!
There is no additional cost to experience this event, unless you opt to purchase merchandise and treats, of course.
Minnie's Garden Party is here for a super limited time, so hurry over to Epcot before it ends on May 6!
Thanks again to Disney and Minnie Mouse for hosting me at this special event!

Lately, I've added vintage shopping to my growing list of hobbies. More specifically, shopping for vintage Disney finds. I'm not sure how it started, but I have my grandma to thank for gifting me some vintage Mickey Mouse mugs leftover from when my dad was a kid. And then, it got me hunting for more... and now, my vintage collection is starting to rival my new things. I'm totally cool with that.
Finding the perfect vintage piece takes time, and it also takes knowing what to look for and where to find them. I've rounded up a few tips to help you out along the way, starting with where to shop for vintage Disney style pieces!
The first place that comes to mind when shopping for vintage Disney is eBay! I've gotten a few awesome pieces from eBay for a really good price. With eBay, though, you have to know exactly what you're looking for to get the best results.
For example, I knew I wanted this Mickey Mouse lunchbox after Gucci featured an updated version on the runway. I searched for months, even bidding on a few, until I finally scored one of my own!
And, as always with eBay, be sure to check the condition of the items before purchasing. It's best to be sure that it's in good shape before you buy, so make sure the pictures are clear and there's a description of the item's condition.
Another good place to hunt for vintage is Etsy, simply because part of the site is dedicated just for vintage pieces. I usually can find things at a reasonable price on Etsy, but much like eBay, it helps to know what you're looking for. Otherwise, it can be pretty overwhelming.
The other thing about Etsy is, unlike eBay, pricing tends to be a little higher, since most shops are flipping their vintage items. This can be good at times, since it's much easier to shop a curated feed, but at the same time, the prices are maybe not as good as someone who's just selling their old stuff on eBay. I've also seen some people list newer Disney items as vintage just because they look vintage, so again, make sure you know what you're looking for.

Vintage Shops
So, flea markets and thrift stores might have the occasional Disney item (depending on where you live), but your best bet after eBay and Etsy are vintage shops that specialize in Disney. I'm pretty impatient, so sifting through thrift stores isn't my favorite thing to do, but strolling through curated vintage shops? Sign me up.
Luckily, I live in Orlando, so there's plenty of shops around here that do just that, but I realize that may not be accessible for you. So, I found a few places online that you can shop!
Rita Lane Vintage - I just scored a cheetah print Mickey slip dress from here and can't wait to get it in! They have really unique finds, including fur coats from Disneyland Paris. Honestly, the dream.
SANFT - Edgy and cool, SANFT is the perfect go-to for vintage Disney tees.
Legacy Vintage - These guys are local, and I always shop them at The Lovely Collection! I've snagged a few Disney clothing items from them and love that they're so unique, but also coincide with my casual, effortless style.
There's plenty more that sell only on Instagram as well, so just keep your eyes open and track the #vintagedisney hashtags for them!

Parks Capsule Wardrobe
Sunday, February 03, 2019
To shop these items, simply click on the item you want to shop in the image above!
I love the concept of capsule wardrobes. For those of you who don't know, capsule wardrobes are designed to simplify your lifestyle by minimizing the number of items in your closet, but maximizing the versatility. Typically, capsule wardrobes have around 30 items (clothes, accessories and shoes, total), and are meant to mix-and-match throughout the season. You start by cleaning out your closet, keeping only the things you need and wear. Then, you create a shopping list, buy basic pieces, and then wear those items for the rest of the season.
I'm all-for having a versatile wardrobe, but the ones I found on Pinterest didn't really work for my lifestyle. I live in Florida, which doesn't really experience seasons, and my lifestyle isn't built around office attire. Rather, what it does include a lot of are pieces to wear to the parks. Luckily for me, these pieces can be worn outside the parks, too.
I created this parks capsule wardrobe based off that concept - pieces I can re-wear to the parks (or outside the parks) in different ways. I chose items that I currently have, or things that are similar, so it'll make it easier for you to build your own. I also did my best to make sure everything was in-stock, so apologies if they're sold out. I'm also planning on refreshing once the weather warms up, since obviously these items are better for the cooler temps.
Even if you don't live near the parks, this can be used as a packing guide for what to bring on your next vacation, too!

Disney recently invited me to experience Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a special ticketed event held on select nights now through December 21, 2018 at Magic Kingdom. Tickets were provided on behalf of Disney, however, thoughts and opinions on my experience are my own.
It really is the most wonderful, magical time of the year, and there's no better way to celebrate than a night at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! This festive special event offers guests a winter wonderland of holiday fun, complete with "snow" on Main Street, U.S.A., seasonal treats throughout the park, and even a twinkling Cinderella Castle, thanks to a little Frozen magic.
Mickey's Very Merry holds a very special place in my heart, as it was, and still is, a tradition for me and my family. We would come every year for the party, so it always leaves me feeling nostalgic in the best way!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party offers just the right amount of Christmas cheer to get you in the holiday spirit, and for that reason, it's my absolute favorite special event at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you're visiting this month, be sure to add it to your list.
Click here for more details on this event.
Thanks again to Disney for providing the tickets!

Disney recently invited me to attend the grand re-opening event for the World of Disney at Disney Springs. Thoughts and opinions below are my own.
The world's largest Disney store World of Disney at Disney Springs is re-imagined with all new magical elements for guests to enjoy. From the homage to classic Disney animation to the modern touches, there are surprises around every corner.
I personally love the open concept of the store. Each space is easily accessible from the other, a refreshing update from the previous layout. I also love the curated sections - everything is grouped together by theme now, making it easy to find what you're looking for. My personal favorite is the current Mickey Mouse Club presentation, featuring retro pieces inspired by the Mouseketeers.
With the store completely re-imagined just in time for the holidays, it's the perfect place to get a start on your Christmas shopping, too. While we didn't get a chance to see this on the tour, there is a huge room filled with festive apparel and accessories offering a healthy dose of holiday cheer. If you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the most wonderful time of the year, add this to your list to visit while you're here!
Have you visited the re-imagined World of Disney yet? What do you think of the updates? Let me know in the comments!
